An Easy Fix

As i had said before rainy day can give you a toughie of dressing up in the morning, well with me i tend to find my self in dilemma everyday whether it's raining or not, also the pouring gods restricts you in dressing up, but recently i have found myself an easy fix for my everyday monsoon outfits, A no brainer , easy to get by plus i get extra time for my hair.

Jacket-H&M,Top-Forever21,Jeggings-Marks&Spencer,Shoes-Catwalk,Necklace-H&M

I like to keep it minimal while stepping out in the rain and this my regular to go outfit, I am wearing a black jeggings it's better then wearing denims because the material is light and tends to dry up easily ,you don't want to drag your wet clothes everywhere, same goes for top here i am wearing a jersey and chiffon back hi-lo tops i have been obsessed about hi-lo clothes. You could have guessed that by my couple of earlier post where i featured a skirt , top and  a tunic i have it in every imaginable colour and shape. It gets a bit cold during the season so i carry a light jacket with me to keep me warm enough , here i am wearing a jersey striped blazer, also wearing blazers gives you an effortlessly styled kinda look.I like to keep my accessories minimum like a watch or bracelet or statement necklace . Though i love my heels i don't want to dodge the rains in them i prefer wearing flats, the one i am wearing are in water-proof material  which are super comfortable. And yes! don't forget to carry a bright and eye popping coloured umbrella :)

Would love to know what you guys are wearing this monsoon?

I have been loving the sheer look  lately, i decided to wear it  on my recent holiday trip by the poolside , thought we are'nt always there to plunge inside the pool. Lounging around the pool with a drink in my hand is my way. :)

I  wore my white denim shorts and paired it with white printed sheer top. Sheer clothing is huge this season, it's a perfect mix of feminine and sexy also not baring all while showing the right amount of skin, while highlight your best feature in an unexpected way.

Well here are some points to remember while sporting sheer trend-

The most important thing while wearing sheer clothing is to choose which part of your body you would  like to highlight the most, choose your clothing accordingly like sheer skirts for lean legs.

Wearing a good lingerie is most important while wearing sheer tops, choosing a wrong lingerie can make your whole outfit  look really bad.

Never wear a head to toe sheer.  balance it with solid colours , like wearing a coloured bottoms and sheer top.

Pair it with minimal accessories to give a clean look.

On the road

Hello there lovelies as you know about my previous post on beauty essentials to carry on road trip, now i am going to show you"how to do dress chic on road trip".  Firstly the most important thing you should remember is to wear comfortable clothing, and it dose not mean  wearing baggy shorts or an oversize top or your favourite lounging track pants, it'a a total NO NO!..you don wont to appear very laid back , just stylish yet relaxed looking when you arrive at your destination.

Here are the pictures of what i wore

What i wore is a Navy blue nautical stripes dress  with a full length sleeves in a  light knit material to banish those air-condition chills . i would suggest you to carry a light jacket or a cardigan incase of the AC blast. Accessories should be  simple and non-fussy like adding a belt as i have and wearing light weight jewellery is a way to go.Wearing ballet flats is a good option , you can also opt for wedge heel shoes depending upon your level of comfort.

Well here are some looks i put together to help  you choose better option while on the road :)

Nothings beats the hot summer then flowy and breathable sundress. It is one of the essential in summer clothing.
This H&M printed shift sundress which i scored on my recent street shopping spree is perfect for summer it's flowy ,light and breezy.
I wore this during my recent holiday trip, i cinched it with a contrast slim belt and added a black military waist coat , they are best cover up for the summer. i have been pairing it with most of my outfits you can see that if  you are on my Instagram. I teamed it up with a dreamcatcher necklace and floral wedges. I think sundress and wedges are a perfect combo.

here are some tips for rocking  perfect sundress -

Petite  people need to opt for ruffles or with more volume to balance out the body frame , also the dress should'nt be too long  a mid length till thigh or above the knee is better it gives an illusion to the height. choosing high waist line also add length

Pear shaped women should opt  for  off shoulder or empire waist sundress, drawing attention away from the lower body

Women with heavy upper body  should go for halter necks or narrow waist you can use a belt to cinch your waist.

For a boyish frame you can opt for ruffles or floral print to give a more feminine look.

Head turner

jhjh

The fashion week fever is still not over  and while still adapting to the latest trends here's some of the bags which were quite a head turner at the SS13 runway, with their  unusual shapes and size which are more towards modern or may i say futuristic also an idea of whats comming in the future. The lego shaped clutch and fendi's cubix bag  tells us it's more than just carrying the bag ,these styles are fierce, strong and bold. Although it's a daring option and some of them may seem impractical, but i say what the hell! The famous Cecil Beaton said" Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary. "

These bags are more than just statement making pieces, carrying it to a party or for lunch with friends.I bet these babies won't get unnoticed or people asking about it.

What do you guys think? are you ready to take on this trend?

till then ... toodless :)

Top- Street find(fashion street), Shorts-H&M,Bag-Gifted,Belt-Primark,Shoes-Custom made,Ring- Thrifted(goa), Pink bauble neckpiece-street find(colaba causeway),Floral neckpiece- Primark.

Recently i have been digging out all my shorts in my wardrobe, this animal print is my favourite.I have always had an attraction towards things which has an animal print on it specially the leopard ones, thought i always played it safe by wearing black or white, this time i teamed it up with mint colour the fresh and cool colour for the summer, i was'nt sure first about how it would look but when i accessorized it with black belt and layered neckpieces it worked just fine, sometimes accessorizing right is just what you need to complete the outfit.Animal print is considered more of a classic than a trend, the new way to wear is  to mix it with different prints and clashing colours, if you are not sure how to wear here are some tips and pics to work it out

To start off with you can team it up with one single vibrant colour, You can choose any one colour which stands out well like orange, pink, green which ever suits you, you just have to find that right shade to match with your print and skin tone as well.

You can even mix two different prints. it's a bit daring option but teaming  it with right prints and colour is all you need the colour tones should compliment each other like brown/red, blue/ green, orange/ black also if it's a monochrome print  most colours  look good.

Adding two prints in the same tone with a  one single contrast  colour  also looks good, i would suggest to keep the prints minimal and the colour should blend with the whole outfit.

hope this post is useful- till then toodless :)
